Foundations

A collection of reflections on identity, nervous system awareness, and growth. Each video offers a window into the deeper work of Embodied Identity Expansion, where change is not forced, but allowed to unfold through awareness, curiosity, and internal safety.

These reflections are designed to help you begin recognizing the patterns that have shaped how you function, succeed, and relate to yourself, and to gently explore what it might look like to grow beyond them. This is not about becoming someone new. It’s about creating space for a more aligned version of you to emerge.

Pregnancy Changed Much More Than My Body

00:00 Welcome and Why Vulnerability 01:02 Pregnancy Emotional Exposure 02:55 Body Changes and Identity 06:02 Growth Means Letting Go 07:27 Loneliness Love and Support 08:25 Grief and Sacred Excitement 09:08 Gentle Self Care and Closing I thought pregnancy would mostly challenge my body. I had no idea how much it would challenge my relationship with vulnerability. In this video, I share some of the unexpected emotional realities of becoming a mother for the first time: the joy, grief, identity shifts, body image struggles, loneliness, love, uncertainty, and the surprising ways pregnancy has revealed parts of myself I didn't realize were still running the show. One thing I've learned is that major life transitions don't always create new patterns within us. Sometimes they reveal old ones. Whether you're becoming a parent, navigating a relationship, grieving a loss, changing careers, healing, or stepping into a new chapter of life, I hope this conversation reminds you that it's possible to feel gratitude and grief, excitement and fear, love and uncertainty all at the same time. You might not be doing it wrong. You might just be becoming someone new. WHY People Stop Listening... And HOW to Stay Connected

WHY People Stop Listening... And HOW to Stay Connected

Most people don’t realize the exact moment where the need for protection replaces connection in conversations. Because usually it doesn’t feel like “shutting down.” It feels like: trying to explain yourself, trying to clarify your intentions, trying to prove you didn’t mean harm, or trying to get the other person to finally understand your side. In this video, I explore what actually happens inside humans when conversations stop feeling emotionally safe — and why so many relationship struggles are less about “bad communication” and more about nervous systems trying to protect against pain, rejection, shame, disconnection, or loss of control. We talk about: • why humans stop listening during conflict • the invisible shift from connection → self-protection • defensiveness, overexplaining, shutdown, and reactivity • emotional safety and nervous system activation • why protection often disguises itself as communication • how to notice the moment curiosity disappears in real time This video is part of a broader exploration into the invisible psychology of being human: how survival systems shape relationships, how people protect themselves without realizing it, and what it takes to stay connected to ourselves and each other under stress. If this resonates, I’d love to hear what came up for you while watching. – Kelsea #relationships #psychology #selfawareness #mentalhealth #communication #healing #nervoussystem #ifs #personaldevelopment #emotionalhealth

Feeling Off? Here's What To Do Next...

The last couple of mornings I woke up feeling irritable. Short fuse. Everything felt off. And my first instinct was the same as it usually is: 👉 figure it out 👉 fix it 👉 make it go away as fast as possible But instead of doing that, I tried something different. And it changed everything about how I related to what I was feeling. A lot of people understand themselves. They know their patterns. They can name their emotions. They’ve “done the work.” And they still feel stuck. Not because they’re missing information… but because they can’t access it in the moments that matter. In this video, I walk through a simple shift that helps you actually work with what you’re feeling instead of fighting it. Including one question I use all the time (with myself and with clients) that can completely change how you respond to your emotions. 💬 Reflection If something has been feeling off lately… instead of figuring it out right away, try asking: “What is this part afraid might happen if it didn’t feel this way?” 🔗 Work With Me If you’re interested in working together: 👉 https://www.46and2therapy.com 🔖 Hashtags #personalgrowth #nervoussystem #selfawareness #innerwork #healingjourney #emotionalhealth #selfleadership #burnoutrecovery #IFS #mentalhealth

The Quiet Moment You Start Outgrowing Your Life

Something I see happen for a lot of people is this quiet moment in growth… where nothing on the outside has necessarily changed… but something on the inside doesn’t feel the same anymore. What used to feel meaningful… just doesn’t land in the same way. And that can be confusing — because it’s not always clear what’s actually shifting, or what to do about it. In this video, we explore what’s actually happening in that moment… and how to relate to it in a way that creates clarity instead of urgency. Because growth doesn’t always show up as obvious change. Sometimes it shows up as a shift in how you experience the life you already have. We cover: • why things can start to feel “off” even when life looks the same • the difference between urgency and clarity • how to stay with internal shifts without rushing into decisions • how identity expansion shows up in relationships, parenting, and career • why growth is often more about unlearning and remembering than becoming 💬 Reflection Something to gently notice: Does this feel more like something in your life needs to change… or something in you is already starting to shift? 🔗 Work With Me If you’re interested in working together, you can learn more here: 👉 https://www.46and2therapy.com #personalgrowth #nervoussystem #selfawareness #innerwork #healingjourney #selfleadership #emotionalhealth #burnoutrecovery #identityshift #embodiedidentityexpansion
